JungKook
Beary Loved

The silence was irritating, but what more could be said? You ran your hands threw your hair, sighing as you tried to collect your thoughts. You looked down at your table and curled your toes. JungKook slightly moved, you didn’t see, but you heard him.

You had dropped by to visit the boys after they had been practicing all day. Everyone seemed tired and stressed, but JungKook was the most annoyed of all. He didn’t hug you or greet you with a kiss, he was quiet. When you attempted at getting him to speak, he erupted. Shouting about you needed to back off, give him space. He wanted more space to live and how you weren’t helping by being there. That all lead to how you two were now.

”___, you should just go home. Your still too young to understand,” JungKook cooky said.

You scoffed at his words, turning to show him your mocking smile. “I’m too young? I’m too young, JungKook!? Last time I checked, you were 16 and I was 15.…”

"Your almost 15."

"Same shit! Your the maknae of this group, not a hyung. Don’t act like none of them have ever told you "your still too young", just like you told me."

"It’s different for you!"JungKook stepped closer to you. You stood up, starring him down as he did to you. He gave up and continued to shout. "You have school, family, friends, that’s it. You have the same routine everyday and the expectations everyone has for you never change. ___, my friends and family are the members. I don’t see my family, my real family everyday. I can’t hang out with other friends. School comes after work, which is everyday. Every minute of my life. Expectations get bigger and bigger, they grow higher and higher. I CAN’T BE WHAT EVERYONE WANTS ME TO BE!"

"Then how can I help you?"

"By leaving!"

The words hit you hard, nothing you had ever experienced before. You tasted the tears before you felt them. You calmly reached for the lock on your neck, unclipped it, and held it in your hand. You sniffed, smirking at JungKook as you dropped the necklace to the ground.

"Kay then. I’m gone," you whispered. Walking passed him and waved goodbye to the members who were listening in. You opened the door, closing it silently behind you.

————————————few months later————————-

”___, where are the tickets?” your friend asked.

"Sorry, forgot I had them for a minute," you laughed as you handed the man the tickets. Your friend pulled you passed the gates to see the first sight of the fair. It was still light outside so most of the rides were still closed. "Lets wonder by the food and see what people are selling."

The break-up with JungKook had been hard on you. After two weeks of no calls or text from him, you decided he didn’t have space for a relationship. He didn’t have time for you. You had your number changed and tried to get back to a nor,al schedule. Once in awhile, JungKook would pop into your mind, leading to a silent teardrop.

Even now that you were over the break-up, your feelings weren’t completely gone. A small piece of your heart wouldn’t let him go, but you could control it. You couldn’t push him completely out of your life, you knew that.

"Hey, ___. I saw Jin walking around yesterday. Did you talk to him?" your friend asked.

"Nope~. I haven’t talked to any of the members since JungKook and I broke up."

"Oh, we’ll Thats kinda sad. I mean it was JungKook who said that he needed space, not the others. They shouldn’t be involved."

"I know, but it’s hard to stay friends with people who live with the person who……oof~!" You stepped back to see you had run into a person wearing a bear costume. You apologized to the person, but they just stared at you. The bear finally nodded as a response and pulled you into a hug. You didn’t bug back since it was a random person. They let go and patted your head as they walked away. "That was weird. How about we get something to eat?"

You two waited in line to get some ice cream, because it was the shortest line. While you and your friend chatted in line, the bear reappeared. He stood a good distance away from you, looking at you and waved. You waved back awkwardly. Once you received your ice cream, you walked to a table and sat down in the shade.

Suddenly, a slice of your favorite pizza was placed onto the table. You looked up, the bear was there. He ran away and come back with a bag of popcorn, then disappeared again. He did this several times, each time bringing more of your favorite foods.

"Um, thank you. Thank you, I think we have enough food now." You stood to how to the bear. The bear opened his arms to you, you accepted the hug. The bear tightened his grip, taking longer to release. "Cool, thank you again. See you around, Bear."

As the day passed by and evening come, Bear kept showing up in places. He would be advertising at where ever you were buying stuff. If you were looking at the live stock, Bear would be helping you pet or feed the animals. You even saw him handing out balloons to kids, the moment he saw you, he ran over and gave you and your friend each a balloon.

The night finally arrived, your friend raced to be the first on the best rides when they opened. You went all your favorite ones, even some you didn’t really like any more. You would try to convince your friend to get back in line with you again for another round on some. They would just pout and give in.On a ride that spun you around, like the teacups at Disneyland, your friend brought up the bear.

"That bear is really nice. He must think your cute," they said. You smiled, but laughed it off. "That is if it’s a he."

"Wow you are something you know." The ride came to stop and you slightly stumbled off. "That bear is just nice. It’s his job, duh."

"You wanna go the swings?"

"How about the slides? Just once, please?"

You both walked to the giant slides, taking a deep breath before climbing the many stairs to the top. Your friend to the top way before you and went down without you. When you reached the top, Bear was there. No one else was coming up you noticed. You decided to talk to the bear.

"So what you up to?" The bear pointed up at the sky. Fireworks started to roar into the black night. They all shaped out words.

I’m sorry

I miss you

Please forgive me, ____

I love you

You turned back to Bear. He slowly removed the bear head and shook his hair out of his face. JungKook smiled weakly at you. He placed the bear head on the ground and walked closer to you. You tried to step back, you didn’t want to be here.

"Please, ____, please wait. Listen to me, please baby," JungKook begged. You turned your back to him but let him speak. "I’m sorry for hurting you. I shouldn’t have taken my anger out on you, ___. Will you come back? I really do miss you and regret everything I said."

"I don’t want to take away your time or space. If there’s room for me-"

"How is there room for anything else if its mainly you? Your the only thing that I try my hardest to focus on."

"That can’t be if you have everything else like being an idol."

"But all I want is you. All I want is make you happy and to live life with you, ____. Can I?"

You turned to face JungKook, you gave him a small smile. He grinned back and ran to you. Picking you up in a hug and twirling you around. He placed you back on the ground and kissed you hard on the lips. You smiled into the kiss.

He sat by the each of one the slides and waited for you. You sat i front of him, his bear arms wrapping around you. You giggled at the stranger combination of human lips kissing your cheek and furry arms holding you tight.

"JungKook, can you please take off the costume when we reach the bottom?" He quickly stood up and ran back for his head. He returned and held you even closer this time. "Really. Please take it off. It’s weird having to kiss a bear."

"I wish I could, but this the only way that people won’t recognize me, babe. So deal with it till we get home."
